TRADITIONAL FINANCIAL SECRETARY
The Executive Council is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Council and for implementing the decisions of the General Assembly. Members are elected or appointed according to the Council’s Constitution.
Current Duties:
Traditional Chairman/ President – Provides overall leadership, represents the Council publicly, and presides over meetings.
Traditional Chairman /Vice President – Supports the President General and assumes duties in their absence.
Traditional Secretary – Maintains records, meeting minutes, and official correspondence.
Traditional Treasurer – Oversees financial management, dues collection, and transparent accounting.
Traditional PRO – Coordinates cultural events, ceremonies, and heritage preservation initiatives.
Traditional Assistant Secretary / Assistant Treasurer – Supports administrative and financial functions as needed.
Traditional Chaplain – Offers spiritual guidance, leads prayers at meetings and events, and provides moral support to members. .
Traditional Protocol Officer – The protocol officer organizes official procedures, manages guests, and ensures order at all club events. .
Traditional Welfare Officer – Supports members’ wellbeing, coordinates aid, and fosters unity in times of need within the club.
The Council of Elders (Proposed) is composed of senior titleholders whose wisdom, experience, and standing in the community qualify them to provide guidance on spiritual, cultural, and ethical matters.
Acts as custodians of tradition and mediators in disputes.
Advises the Executive Council on policy and ceremonial protocol.
Ensures the Council remains aligned with Igbo customs and values.
Committees carry out specialized functions of the Council. Each is chaired by a member appointed by the Executive Council and supported by volunteers.
Membership & Ethics Committee – Manages applications, title verification, and adherence to ethical standards.
Events Planning Committee – Organizes inductions, cultural festivals, and other gatherings.
Welfare & Bereavement Committee – Coordinates member support during illness, bereavement, and emergencies.
Cultural Education Committee – Promotes language learning, history, and cultural training for members and youth.
Constitution Review Committee – Periodically reviews and updates the Council’s governing documents.
Media & Publicity Committee – Handles public communications, social media, and press relations.
